Car hire Natal

Natal is the capital city of Rio Grand do Norte, a northeastern state in Brazil with a population of approximately 712,300 people. The city has a total area of 170 sq km, and lies on the Atlantic Ocean, by the mouth of the Potengi River. With dozens of sandy, white beaches, such as Ponta Negra and its famous Morro do Careca, Pirangi, Redinha, and Genipabu with its famous fixed sand dunes and camels imported from Spain, tourism is the most important industry in Natal. It is also a relevant administrative center for the oil industry (Rio Grande do Norte is the second largest oil-producing state in Brazil). The fishing industry is strong (shark cartilage is the major export to Japan), as is the tropical fruit, mangos, guavas, and cashews (the fruit and the nuts). The largest cashew tree in the world is located near the coast in the neighborhood of Pirangi, south of the city center. This tree has a circumference of 500 meters and occupies an area of 7,300 sq m, making it 70 times the size of an average cashew tree.
