Canada is located in North American and has a population of approximately 32,270,000 people. It is the world's second largest country in total area. Both English and French are official languages of Canada. Canada's government is considered a "...constitutional democracy with a Federal system of parliamentary government..." Canada provides medical coverage to all its citizens, through a publicly funded healthcare system. Citizens of Canada are given medical treatment, hospital care, dental surgery and more. Most citizens qualify for coverage irregardless of medical history or income. Canada's life expectancies are about 80 year, which is considerably higher than most countries. Canada was the fourth country to legalize gay marriage (the others are Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain). Unlike the other countries, there is no residency requirement to get married in Canada, so couples from anywhere in the world can tie the knot there. However, while there is no residency required to get married, there is a requirement that one of the partners must reside in Canada for at least one year before the Canadian courts will have jurisdiction to grant a divorce.
