Osijek, Croatia is the fourth largest city, with a population of approximately 115,000 people. Osijek is located on the right bank of the Drava River. Transportation links include railroad, highways, rivers, and an airport. It is the largest city and cultural center of Slavonia, and is the administrative center of the Osijek-Baranja county. Attractions include museums, a printing house dating to 1735, several gymnasiums, a drawing school, a zoological garden, a center for livestock breeding, and an institute for sugar beet farming. The majority of citizens are Croats. Osijek is a popular tourist site due to its architecture, open space and recreational activities. Most important sites are the main square and the suspension pedestrian bridge.
