Bath, England has a population of approximately 80,000 people, and is most famous for its three hot springs. Residents consider themselves Bathonians. More than 50 percent of the days are overcast; there are few natural hazards, although it can get very windy, or flood in the winter. Author Jane Austin was born in Bath, but did not enjoy it. Even so, the city has honored her name on memorial sites. Even after leaving, it was evident that her writing referenced the city. Dickens’s novel Pickwick Papers features Bath; Caldecott The Waters of Sul is set in Roman Bath; Sheridan's The Rivals is also set there. In 2004, the movie Vanity Fair was filmed in Bath.
