Bradford, England is the major city in the county of West Yorkshire with a population of approximately 294,000 people, and is the 11th largest community in the country. In 1985, there was a fire at the Valley Parade event; there is a memorial on Centenary Square. The disaster is honored annually with an Easter-weekend youth tournament with teams from across Europe. It also brought on safety awareness in modern British sports venues, although it did not stop the disaster in Hillsboro a few years later. A plaque at Sunwin Stand honors those who died there. The stadium reopened in 1986, safer than before. Bradford is known for cultural diversity, rich with galleries, parks, museums, universities, cemeteries, and parks. There are four theaters, a concert hall, and architecture from various ages.
