Norwich, England (pronounced Norritch), has a population of approximately 125,000 people and is the regional administrative center and county town of Norfolk. Each year, the Norfolk and Norwich Festival celebrates the arts, as well as the town's art schools. The city's motto is Do Different. Attractions include the Millennium Library, and BBC broadcasting. Norwich Market dates back to 1071 and 1074, and is the largest open air market in England that is open six out of seven week days. While there are several shopping malls and areas, Norwich's claim to fame is mustard; Colman's Mustard was founded in 1814. Norwich has a great deal of Medieval architecture. Included among these are Norwich Cathedral (built in the 11th century), a castle built in the 12-century (which is now a museum), and several churches. During the Middle Ages, 57 churches were within the city wall; 31 still exist. For those interested in Medieval period sites, stay within the city center
