Skiathos (or Sciathos or Sciathus) is a city and a small island in the Aegean Sea belonging to Greece. It consists of two main towns, two settlements, and a nude beach (Banana Beach) at the end of the island. The municipality includes such normally-expected institutions such as schools, banks, and post offices, but there are no municipal boundaries, as it is completely encircled with the Aegean Sea. It has a small port off the island, and is heavily forested; the land around the villages has been cleared for farming. Notable sights on the island include towns, beaches, and the Evangelistria Monastery
