Bari, Italy is the capital of the Province of Bari and of the Apulia region, on the Adriatic Sea. It is the second economic center of southern Italy and is well known as a port and university city. It is called The City of Santa Claus, and has a population of approximately 325,000 people. Bari is divided into four parts: Old Town, Murattiano Town, the modern section of the city, and the suburbs. Due to legal and illegal migration, there has been an increasing presence of immigrants, mainly from Albania, who also constitute the nation's largest and fastest growing minority.
