Miami, Florida has a population of approximately 363,000 people. Miami is a resort area for college students, as well as a retirement site for older Americans. It has a diverse population with as many as 65 percent coming from Cuba and Latin America. Many companies house their Latin American operations headquarters there. The Port of Miami is one of the nation's busiest ports, particularly for goods coming from South America and the Carribean. Miami has the most international banks in the country. Major attractions include an Ancient Spanish Monastery, an Art Deco Welcome Center, a Holocaust memorial, several art museums, several beaches and parks, airboat tours through the everglades, a coral castle and more! One building in South Beach was used in the filming of The Bird Cage with Robin Williams. Chances are, you'll notice it right away!
